Download and Install Duplicati

Duplicati provides .deb packages for Debian-based systems. Follow these steps:

1. Download the Latest Version
   Visit the Duplicati download page and copy the link to the latest .deb package. Alternatively, use wget to download it directly:

   bash

   wget https://updates.duplicati.com/beta/duplicati_2.0.x_x.deb

   Replace 2.0.x_x.deb with the actual version number from the website.

2. Install the Package
   Use dpkg to install the downloaded .deb file:

   bash

   sudo dpkg -i duplicati*.deb

3. Resolve Missing Dependencies
   If there are missing dependencies, fix them with:

   bash

   1

   sudo apt --fix-broken install

Step 5: Start and Enable the Duplicati Service

Duplicati runs as a service. Start and enable it to run at boot:

1. Start the service:

   bash

   1

   sudo systemctl start duplicati

2. Enable it to start on boot:

   bash

   1

   sudo systemctl enable duplicati

3. Check the service status:

   bash

   1

   sudo systemctl status duplicati

Step 6: Access the Duplicati Web Interface

Duplicati provides a web-based interface for configuration and management. By default, it runs on port 8200.

1. Open a browser and navigate to:

   http://localhost:8200

2. If accessing remotely, replace localhost with the server's IP address or hostname:

   http://<server-ip>:8200

3. Log in using the default credentials (if prompted). You can set up a password during the initial setup.
